Making a Splash at the Utah Ren Fest

The Mermaids of the Great Salt Lake surfaced once again this May, bringing finned magic and maritime mischief to the beloved Utah Ren Fest! Nestled in the heart of Marriott-Slaterville, this enchanting gathering of knights, fairies, pirates, and adventurers was the perfect tidepool for our pod to share stories, laughter, and a whole lot of glitter.

🐚 Our Magical Mermaid Lagoon

Our lagoon was dressed to impress — draped in flowing sea-colored tulle, shimmering shells, nautical treasures, and of course, our fabulous mermaids! With tails in every hue of the rainbow and smiles as bright as the summer sun, we welcomed guests from all walks of life (and legend). Children giggled with glee as they met their first mermaid, and grown-ups leaned in to hear tales from the deep.

Each mermaid brought her own unique flair, from koi-inspired royalty to sparkling sea witches and pirate queens. Visitors loved collecting treasure from our prize bucket, taking photos with their favorite mermaids, and soaking up the saltwater sass that makes our crew unforgettable.

⚔️ Faire Friends & Fin-tastic Fun

One of the best parts of the festival? The incredible community! We swam alongside furries, jesters, swordfighters, musicians, and mystics. Whether you were a knight in shining armor or a rogue in need of redemption, everyone found a warm welcome at the mermaid tent.

We made fast friends with therapy dogs, mischievous fae, and even a few fishy pirates. Each weekend offered new themes, from Vikings & Heroes to Faeries & Pirates, and we embraced every one with open fins.

💜 A Pod with Purpose

Our favorite part of the festival is always the people. From the awe in a child’s eyes to the sparkle of nostalgia in a grandparent’s smile, these moments remind us why we do what we do. We’re not just "proving everyone can achieve their dreams" — we’re living them, every time we show up, shine bright, and connect with the community.
